Arkansas Black Music Expo

Music Moves presents the Arkansas Black Music Expo, a two day event celebrating Black/African American culture in Springdale at The Jones Center for Families on April 15-16, 2022. The Arkansas Black Music Expo will feature musical performances by Grammy nominees Carl Thomas and Kirk Whalum, with additional regional artists scheduled throughout the event. Attractions for children and food trucks will also be on site.
FRIDAY, APRIL 15
•4:30PM – Kickoff parade: meet at Luther George Park around 4pm
• 5:00PM – University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Marching Band
• 6:30PM – Rochelle Bradshaw & Hypnotion
• 8:00PM – Grammy nominee Carl Thomas
• 9:30PM – smooth jazz bassist Michael Fields, Jr.
SATURDAY, APRIL 16
• 11:00AM – St. James Missionary Baptist Mass Choir
• 12:00PM – Funk Factory
• 1:30PM – HipHop Cypher featuring DJ D. Sewell, BAANG, Spida, Big Lowe, and BabeeDee Hollywood
• 2:40PM – Zion Travelers
• 4:10PM – Grammy-winning saxophonist Kirk Whalum
• 5:10PM – DJ show finale
Food trucks, a drum-making workshop, Springdale Fire & Police Departments, inflatables and more activities will keep your entire family entertained all weekend…and we’ll get you home in time to bathe the kids before Easter Sunday!
The Arkansas Black Music Expo is a family-friendly event free to the public, sponsored by the Tyson Family Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, The Jones Center for Families, and Music Moves.
